The first time a freeride event has even been held in the famous couloir, Kings and Queens of Corbet’s is sure to electrify the skiing and snowboard community.  “As a measuring stick for generations, there may be no better venue in North America for this one-of-a-kind big mountain contest than Corbet’s Couloir,” stated JHMR athlete Griffin Post.  Hosted like a surf competition this invitational contest will be held one day within the five day window to create optimal conditions.  Each competitor is granted up to three runs, and judging of the event will be done through video review by the participating athletes.  Athlete scores will be based on speed, degree of difficulty, innovative and progressive maneuvers, control and landings.

Kings and Queens of Corbet’s is supported by GoPro and Red Bull, bringing together some of the world’s best action sports networks, products and athletes.  “We’re thrilled to host this new exciting event,” stated JHMR Business Development Director Bill Lewkowitz.  “The combination of the iconic terrain in and around Corbet’s and the level of athlete participation will most certainly result in an historic day in Jackson Hole,” Lewkowitz went to note.
