An all-new ‘iron road’ is about to open for business any second. While some Americans may not exactly know what we’re talking about, Jackson Hole’s newest summer attrACTION is old hat in the high mountains of Europe. The history of Via Ferrata’s is as steep as their ladders and here in Jackson Hole marks an evolution of access that will take travelers and climbers of all kinds to lesser-to-never-before traveled rocks in the famed Teton Range.

Years in the making, we had a chance to take a glance at the goods last fall and can’t wait to sample the system when the suspension bridges open for business some time in mid-June. So…now. To know and learn more, as well as make plans to see for yourself, click here.

Via Ferrata- Coming Summer 2017

Via Ferrata is Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s newest outdoor adventure. This memorable experience takes you high above the valley floor, across suspended bridges and along granite walls all with a knowledgeable guide. An assisted climbing activity that is guided through the alpine terrain here at JHMR, Via Ferrata is perfect for families, groups or individuals. Located just south of Grand Teton National Park, JHMR has many offerings that will give participants a day of family fun around Teton Village.
